Deputy Manager



Due to promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering outstanding care to children and young people.

Applicants will be experienced in working with children with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, mental health problems and /or complex needs between the ages of 8 and 18.

Candidates applying for this role would have previous experience within the field and Level 5 in Management and Leadership

You will be required to work in partnership with the local/placing authorities, parents or carers and other agencies. The main focus of the job is to promote independence of young people and support the registered manager in the daily functioning of the home.

Job purpose:



Line Managing a small staff team completing supervision and supporting them in their role to reach their full potential Supporting and motivating staff team to empower young people. Managing conflict situations in a calm and professional manner Communicating effectively with young people and staff team To achieve the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards

Essential requirements



At least 1 year recent experience in a relevant field
Understanding and knowledge of the issues faced by this client group.

Experience of personal care
Knowledge of Child in Need, Child Protection and LAC plans.

Creative approach to empowering clients to achieve positive outcomes
