We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living and nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, and will be responsible for supporting the overall management of the facility while ensuring high standards of care are maintained for all residents.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of residents, ensuring their dignity and quality of life are upheld.
Provide leadership in delivering high-quality nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring health conditions.
Collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
Conduct regular assessments of resident needs, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in health or personal circumstances.
Promote a culture of respect, compassion, and excellence within the team while addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
Background in nursing with valid qualifications is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Demonstrated management skills with previous supervising experience in a healthcare environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to develop care plans that reflect individual resident needs while adhering to best practices in care delivery.
