About the Role:

We are urgently seeking a

Nurse Deputy Manager

to join our team. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing home, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to step into a management role and make a real impact on both the staff team and the residents in our care.

The position involves

40 hours per week

, with additional on-call responsibilities during weekends, making this an ideal role for someone who is looking to take the next step in their nursing career while still remaining hands-on with patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home. Take charge of the home in the absence of the Home Manager, ensuring smooth running and high-quality care. Provide clinical leadership to nursing and care staff, offering guidance and support. Manage care plans for residents, ensuring they are person-centred and regularly reviewed. Administer medications and monitor residents' conditions, ensuring clinical excellence. Ensure the home remains compliant with all regulatory standards (CQC, Health & Safety, etc.). Support staff development through training and mentorship. Act as a key liaison between the care team, residents, families, and external agencies.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

RGN (Registered General Nurse)

with a valid

NMC

PIN. Proven leadership or deputy management experience in a care home or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and nursing home standards. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
