Are you an experienced and passionate care professional ready for the next step in your career? Hollywood Rest Home is seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our 46-bed care home, which specialises in dementia care and behaviours that challenge.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the care team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care. This is a hands-on role with both managerial and care responsibilities.

Please note: this role includes on-call duty every other weekend, supporting the home outside of normal working hours as part of the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example in delivering compassionate, respectful care

Oversee and monitor care delivery and staffing

Complete and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and incident reporting

Support and supervise staff, including training, mentoring, and appraisals

Work with families and professionals to ensure residents' needs are met

Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality assurance

Deputise in the absence of the Home Manager

Participate in the on-call rota every other weekend

About You:

Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (required)

Level 5 in Leadership & Management or willingness to work towards it (preferred)

Experience in a senior care role within a dementia/challenging behaviour setting

Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and person-centred care

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Confident in managing behaviours that challenge with a calm, professional approach

A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
