Job Description

As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in leading, motivating and inspiring our team to deliver outstanding education and care in line with the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

framework. Working closely with the Nursery Managers, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery and maintain our high standards across all areas.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, support and mentor staff to provide exceptional care and learning opportunities for all children. You will be a key holder - responsible for opening and closing up the Nursery. Oversee implementation and monitoring of the EYFS curriculum to ensure engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences. Monitor and approve staff observations, ensuring they meet high standards and reflect the three I's - Intent, Implementation and Impact. Supervise daily activities and manage the key person system to ensure every child has a primary and secondary carer. Maintain rigorous safeguarding practices and promote a culture of safety and wellbeing at all times. Support staff with performance management including supervisions, appraisals, training and development. Ensure all record-keeping and documentation is up to date, including attendance, accidents/incidents and child development records. Collaborate with parents and carers to build strong, positive relationships and keep them informed of their child's progress. Help maintain compliance with statutory requirements including GDPR, health and safety, SEND, and safeguarding.

We're looking for someone who is:



Qualified toLevel 3 in Childcare or above. Experienced in a senior role within an early years setting is preferred. Confident with the EYFS and knowledgeable in best practices for early years education and care. An excellent communicator and team player, with strong leadership and organisational skills. Passionate about making a difference in children's lives and supporting their development.
