About us



Johnsons Nurseries is a three-generation family business located in North Yorkshire, equidistant between York and Harrogate, with 100 years' experience in growing and supplying millions of trees, shrubs and plants to UK-wide planting schemes each year.



This is an exciting opportunity to assist with the management of our Goods Inwards department. You'll be receiving stock from both the UK and EU, checking the quality, assisting with ensuring that we meet all requirements regarding plant health and helping to manage and guide the Incoming Goods team.

Your main responsibilities:



Supervising the receipt of all traded plants, ensuring that all stock is received within agreed specifications Ensuring that all traded stock is allocated to the correct location Assisting with ensuring that the company meets statutory requirements in regard to plant health Ensuring effective supervision of employees

What we are looking for:



Experience of managing a small team Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues at all levels Literacy skills to complete paperwork and input data Organisational skills to deal with a variety of tasks and situations
