Little Bam Bams are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced
Deputy Manager
to join our friendly and dedicated childcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career.
Working closely with the Manager, you will support the daily running of the setting, helping to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
. You will play a key role in leading, motivating, and supporting staff, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
In the Manager's absence, you will confidently oversee day-to-day operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold safeguarding and welfare standards. You will also build strong relationships with parents and carers, contribute to staff development, and support continuous improvement across the setting.
The successful candidate will be a committed and caring professional with strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for early years education.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position and is dedicated to providing outstanding childcare.
Duties
Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the childcare setting
Act as Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for operations
Lead, motivate, and support the staff team to deliver high-quality care and education
Ensure practice meets the requirements of the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children
Oversee safeguarding procedures and ensure all staff follow safeguarding policies
Monitor staff performance and support supervision, appraisals, and professional development
Support staff with planning, observations, and assessments of children's learning
Ensure compliance with Ofsted, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs
Build positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication
Handle day-to-day operational issues and support staff with problem-solving
Assist with staff rotas, ratios, and deployment
Support the implementation and review of policies and procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance within the setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 27,000.00-28,000.00 per year
