We are seeking a dedicated and passionate childcare Deputy manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. Must have their SVQ 3 or above This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and support to children in an after school club environment. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Manage daily routines, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day to and any concerns that may arise. Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and encouraging children to develop social skills. Drive initiatives that enhance the learning experience for children, adapting approaches based on individual needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes exploration and learning.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Ability to drive initiatives that foster an engaging learning environment. Familiarity with nursery or after school club settings and understanding of child development principles is advantageous. A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not mandatory.

We would require the candidate to work some hours in our holiday camps. the hours are 7.20- 8.50am in breakfast club & 2.30 to 6pm Monday to Thursday, Fridays 12- 6pm holiday camp 8am to 6pm flexible days

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 16.00 per hour
