Salary:

32,000 - 33,000 per annum

Hours:

45 hours per week (7:00am - 6:00pm)

Qualification:

Level 3 in Childcare (minimum)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate

Deputy Manager

to join our friendly nursery team in New Eltham. The successful candidate will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager with the overall leadership and management of the nursery Ensure high-quality early years education is delivered in line with the EYFS framework Support staff with planning, observations, and assessments Lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding childcare Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals Ensure policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are consistently followed Oversee daily routines, staff deployment, and room organisation Support with recruitment, training, and supervision of staff Handle administrative duties as required, including reports and documentation

Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Childcare (mandatory) Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within an early years setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to work 45 hours per week between 7am - 6pm Passionate about providing high-quality education and care
