We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full time Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home environment at Kensington Care Home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for senior care, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of support and assistance. This role involves supervising staff, managing care plans, and delivering medication administration while fostering a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support care staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to residents' needs.
Administer medication as per prescribed guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting best practices in senior care.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Foster effective communication among staff, residents, and families to enhance the quality of care.
Assist in training new staff members on policies, procedures, and best practices in home care.
Ensure the care home maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care home or nursing home setting.
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and health regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Experience in developing and implementing care plans for residents, including dementia and complex needs.
Compassionate approach to senior care with a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
