The Role
We are seeking a talented, skilled, and passionate
Deputy Operations Manager
to join our senior management team and work closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director. You will provide
strategic direction and leadership
across the organization, managing staff effectively and ensuring the needs of our trainees are met through the highest standards of operational and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee the overall day-to-day running of ASPACE2, including all programmes and services for clients and trainees. This includes the day-to-day management and development of staff within our social enterprise.
Person-Centred Programmes (PCPs):
Lead the design, delivery, and implementation of effective Person-Centred Programmes (PCPs). You will also play the main role in the preparation and submission of individual developmental programmes.
Quality & Improvement:
Lead the organization in continuous improvement and the delivery of quality standards. Implement developmental plans and monitor organizational performance against targets.
Staff and Trainee Support:
Build the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of support staff. Ensure each trainee has an individual training plan designed to build their independence and skills. Mentor staff and trainees in understanding training programmes and practice.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of professionals. Oversee the
recruitment of trainees
, liaising with social workers, parents/carers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following:
Qualifications & Experience:
Understanding of the learning disability field
.
Minimum of 2 years' experience
of managing the operations of a small or medium day opportunities organization and/or social enterprise, with at least 2 years at a leadership level.
Significant experience of successfully
building, leading, and working with multiple teams
, including setting objectives and managing performance.
Demonstrable experience of overseeing
quality and performance improvement models
for organizational success.
A minimum of
3 years paid employment within an adult support setting
.
Financially astute
and analytical with a proven track record of interpreting organizational budgets and financial forecasts.
Proficient in the use of
databases and information management systems
for reporting.
Track record of
driving change
, fostering a culture of ideas and innovation, and instilling new thinking amongst colleagues.
Plus ONE of the following qualifications:
Educated to
degree level
.
A
Professional qualification
(e.g., RNLD, AHP, or Teaching).
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
(Adults' Management / Adult's Residential Management) (Wales and Northern Ireland)
AND
2 years paid employment experience in an adult health and social care setting.
Reporting Structure:
You will report to the
Operations Manager
and be responsible to the
Managing Director
.
