About the role



You will support the homes manager and inspire a team of Seniors & Residential Childcare Workers and work other care professionals to ensure that each of our three young people in your home receives the highest standard of care, support and nurture. Your working hours are Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm, with some on shift work to support the home when and as needed.

You'll report to the homes manager

-- and be fully supported by -- the company's Responsible Individual. You will be responsible for meeting all regulatory expectations and duties set out in the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, including preparation for Ofsted inspections and ongoing compliance. We expect the home to achieve at least a 'Good' rating at its first inspection, and we will support you 100% every step of the way to ensure this success.

About Our Residential Children's Home



Our beautiful three-bedroom home is located in the SY11 area of Shropshire. Thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, calm and nurturing environment, it offers a true home-from-home for the young people we will care for. Every space has been created with comfort, safety and therapeutic support in mind, ensuring our young people feel valued, secure and ready to thrive.

About You



This is a significant leadership role, and we are looking for someone who brings both expertise and passion to the position. You must hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), and want to work to gain the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Residential Management).

As an inspirational leader, you will have substantial experience working with children in a residential setting -- at management level -- and be able to provide evidence of your support with Ofsted inspection history. You will have a proven ability to lead teams, drive high standards and create an environment where young people feel safe, supported and valued.

A strong understanding of the relevant legislation and guidance is essential. This includes (but is not limited to):

Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015

Children Act 1989

Children Act 2004

Care Matters 2006

Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018

You will also have a clear understanding of Ofsted requirements and be confident in leading, preparing for and responding to inspections.

Before You Apply, You MUST:



Hold a full UK driving licence (manual) and have access to a vehicle for work

Undergo and pass an enhanced DBS check before starting

Hold a

Level 3
