Main duties and responsibilities:
Support senior management in running day to day activities and implementing nursery policies.
To provide and maintain a high-quality service to children working as part of a staff team to meet children's individual needs.
To support and lead a team of Room Leaders and Nursery Practitioners.
Children and Families
:
To develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
To lead staff in the room by showing a good role model.
To assist with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities to meet children's needs.
To work within the EYFS and promote high standards of care for the children.
To assume responsibility for key children and ensure their developmental needs are met.
To maintain a welcoming environment by reviewing displays and resources on regular basis.
To use observation and reflective practice to contribute to planning and evaluation in the setting.
To take any action required to ensure the safety and welfare of children and to report any concern immediately to the Nursery Manager or DSL.
To ensure good communication with staff and parent's / carers.

Requirements
This individual will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare.
Experience in a leadership or management role is required.
Should have a strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding.
Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.
