Job Description

Hadet Healthcare are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the homes of adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Preferably candidates will have had at least 1 years of experience working as a Shift Manager/Deputy Manager within a Learning disability care setting.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with vulnerable adults and have a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care. The candidate must be able to provide leadership to a team of staff in line with the organisation's aim to provide a high quality support service tailored to suit each of the people we support.

As a Deputy Manager your role is to coordinate high quality support to adults with learning disabilities or Autism, check support is appropriate and manage staff teams. You will need to ensure the people we support get the most out of their support. You will assist support staff where required or work alongside with the people we support. As a senior member of the team, you will promote good practice at all times and be a positive role model.

This role would suit someone who has experience with supervising within the sector. You will be working office hours, however may cover shifts and rota short falls to assist the service.

Your roles include, but not limited to:

Providing and ensuring that support that is respectful, promotes dignity, independence and enablement. Communicating with the people you support using appropriate communication methods. Assisting with individuals' care, including personal care. Be responsible for assessing people joining our service, developing and implementing their care and support plans. Assisting the people we support with household activities. Recording and completing any appropriate documentation. Maintaining training, compliance, and support of staff through co-ordination and completion of supervisions. Liaising with families and other professionals involved in the lives of the people we support.
