Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our nursing home which will specialise in Complex Care and Dementia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in nursing homes and dementia care. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage staff, oversee care plans, and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents.

Duties



Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, ensuring that their needs are met with dignity and respect. Provide leadership in delivering high-quality care, including medication administration and support for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. Monitor resident health and wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively. Collaborate with families and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents. Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications



Previous experience in nursing home settings is essential. Hold a valid NMC pin number - To be a qualified RMN, RN or RLDN. Demonstrated experience in senior care management, including supervising teams and leading by example. Knowledge of dementia care practices and the ability to develop effective care plans. Knowledge of Complex Care nursing and associated conditions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff. Proven leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a supportive team culture. A commitment to providing compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for residents.
