Two Deputy Managers will work together to oversee these services.
Hours & Contract
37.5 hours per week
(Monday-Friday)
Includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch per day
Full-time, permanent contract

The Role - What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in
leading services, supporting staff and volunteers, and helping vulnerable adults move towards safer, more stable lives
.
You will:
Line manage and oversee our
Day Centre, night hub and/or Supported Accommodation services
Lead, support, and develop
day, night hub / Supported accommodation
staff
Coordinate recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and DBS checks
Support and collaborate with the
Volunteer Co-ordinator
and volunteers
Support and collaborate with the
Complex Case Officer
Ensure a
safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
for service users, residents and staff
Work closely with
local authorities, health services, and partner organisations
Support fundraising activity and manage expenditure responsibly
Maintain accurate records, statistics, and compliance with GDPR
Promote Room at the Inn's mission and raise awareness locally
Use and support staff with the
WBC Locata portal
Meet with stakeholders to help further the charity's strategic goals
Service Leadership & Operational Responsibilities
You'll also be responsible for ensuring high-quality, day-to-day service delivery, including:
Supporting staff to help service users with benefits, housing, paperwork, and healthcare access
Creating an environment that encourages
independence, inclusion, and positive change
Developing new services in partnership with local agencies
Supervising staff through regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and performance reviews
Managing cash donations and maintaining accurate service records
Overseeing training and development of staff and volunteers
Supporting complex case allocation alongside the Complex Case Officer
Ensuring compliance with
health & safety, safeguarding, and data protection legislation
Reviewing and improving policies and procedures in line with best practice

Confidence using IT systems, Microsoft Office, and case management software
Strong written communication and report-writing skills
A proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset

Desirable
It would be great if you also have:
Experience managing staff and/or volunteers
Experience working with people experiencing homelessness
Knowledge of issues such as addiction and domestic abuse
Experience managing budgets
Knowledge of local housing options and support services
Familiarity with health, social care, advocacy, or recovery services
