Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead (Nursing Home)

Salary:

45,000

Contract:

Full-time

Hours:

40 hours per week, including occasional weekends and 2 nursing shifts a week.

As a Nursing Home Deputy Manager at Acacia Lodge Care Home, you will support the delivery of quality care. You will work closely with the Home Manager and take on leadership duties in their absence.

Key responsibiltiies:



- Support the Home Manager with the overall leadership and management of the home.

- Lead the clinical team to deliver outstanding care, ensuring all residents needs are met with dignity and respect.

- Providing hands on personal care e.g. wound management, catheter care, end of life care.

- Act as the go-to person for clinical decision-making, guidance and escalation

- Overseeing clinical governance in the home

- Oversee medication management and ensure safe administration in line with policies

- Carry out audits, risk assessments, resident of the day, admission processes and care plan reviews.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

- Mentor and support nursing and care staff, including training, supervision and appraisals

- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and health & safety legislation

- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

- Assume managerial duties in the absence of the home manager, ensuring the home operates to high standards and meets regulatory requirements

- Work with individuals living with dementia

What we are looking for:



- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC Pin

- Previous experience in a Senior role within a care or nursing home setting

- Strong clinical knowledge and confident in clinical leadership

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Compassionate, approachable, and highly organised

- A commitment to person-centred care and team development
