We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager/Room Leader to join our team in a vibrant care home setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of our assisted living facility, ensuring high standards of care for our residents, particularly those with dementia. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
Duties
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of residents, focusing on medication administration and overall well-being.
Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly, ensuring that all aspects of senior care are addressed effectively.
Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage to meet the needs of residents at all times.
Engage with families and external stakeholders to promote transparency and build trust within the community.
Lead training sessions on dementia care and other relevant topics to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and compliance with health regulations.
Experience
Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home or assisted living environment is essential.
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and the development of care plans for seniors.
Experience in senior care, particularly with residents who have dementia, is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff alike.
A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous.
Experience with SENCO
Level 5 qualified with minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Level 3 qualified with 5 years of Leadership experience will also be welcomed
