We are seeking a Deputy Manager/Room leader for the baby room. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification as well as senior experience in a nursery.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the nursery and cover the office in the absence of manager.
Supervise and train new staff members ensuring high quality of education is maintained within the nursery.
Support all team members to ensure efficient running of the nursery and ensure that safeguarding is understood and is given par amount importance. Work as a DSL in the nursery.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to the health and safety of all children in our care across all rooms.
Help manager to plan and execute parent events and day to day nursery needs including recruitment and staff rotas.
Address parent inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Support the development of menus termly and assist the kitchen chef when required.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management.
Skills
Proven experience in leadership and management is essential.
Strong knowledge of EYFS, ofsted inspections and day to day running of the nursery.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Experience working in a kitchen if needed.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
