We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate
Deputy Manager
to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for overseeing a small group of supported living services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is delivered consistently across all locations.
This is a
varied and evolving role
, requiring a balance of hands on support work, staff supervision, and administrative duties. You will split your time between our supported living services and the centrally based head office, supporting both service users and staff in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective
administrative and operational support
to the management team.
Coordinate
staff rotas
, ensuring safe staffing levels and efficient service delivery.
Lead on
care and support planning
, ensuring plans are person-centred and regularly reviewed.
Complete
risk assessments
and implement control measures to ensure safety and compliance.
Support with
auditing/administering medication
in line with policy and best practice.
Promote
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
strategies.
Escorting residents for appointments.
Plan and coordinate
meaningful activities
that promote independence and wellbeing.
Participate in
staff recruitment, induction, mentoring, supervision, and performance management
.
Share responsibility to be
on-call out of hours during the week and weekends
Ensure compliance with
CQC regulations
, Health & Safety, and safeguarding policies.
Maintain accurate
records and reports
using IT systems in line with organisational procedures.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a
Team Leader, or Deputy Manager
within supported living or residential care services.
Minimum
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
(Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards within 18 months).
Experience supporting
adults with Mental health conditions, drug and alcohol misuse, learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
.
Sound knowledge of
CQC Fundamental Standards
, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Confident IT user with experience maintaining accurate records and reports.
Full UK driving licence
and access to own vehicle, with flexibility to travel between services.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and shared on-call duties.

Working alongside the management team, you will be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of support and service delivery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organisational standards while fostering a positive and empowering environment for both staff and residents.
