Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of passionate early years educators.
Provide hands-on support in daily nursery activities, working directly with children.
Support the delivery of a child-led, curiosity-inspired curriculum under EYFS principles.
Promote a culture of openness, professional growth, and accountability within the team.
Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing, and compliance with legislation and Ofsted requirements.
Confidently step into the Manager's role in their absence.
Maintain strong relationships with parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
Person Specification:
Experience as a Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or Third in Charge in a nursery setting.
Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks.
Hands-on, energetic, and supportive approach to working with both children and staff.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills.
Ability to remain calm, solutions-focused, and resilient under pressure.
Passion for developing others and creating a positive, collaborative team environment.
