Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
A positive and friendly demeanour

Ability to lead and effectively manage an experienced team of staff
Detailed working knowledge of the EYFS and the planning skills to ensure the effective delivery of this curriculum to young children
lead and inspire fellow practitioners by example.
Experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Third in Charge or similar)
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
The successful candidate will:
Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding overall responsibility for the day to day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies
monitoring and improving practice and behaviours
In collaboration with the Nursery Manager, contribute to succession planning, identification and delivery of relevant training, and supporting professional development plans, including coaching and mentoring for all colleagues.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the needs of each child
manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager
be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children
lead and manage team of staff together with the manager.
Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
Engage with the Local Authority and other professionals to understand the local offer and to support practice in all areas of the nursery
Promote the nursery to both current parents, and potential customers, to support retention and ongoing occupancy growth
You will work alongside the nursery management team to ensure the day to day operation of the nursery is kept to high standard.
