We are looking for a dynamic and energetic person to join our small team of staff.
The Deputy Manager will go about their duties with honesty and integrity and ensure the nursery needs are always met. They must be approachable, with good communication skills.
The Deputy Manager's main role is to support the Manager in all aspects of Nursery matters. They must adhere to the nursery's Policies and Procedures and be able to manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager. They must work as part of the Staff Team and liaise between the Staff and the Manager. They must have good knowledge of EYFS and must be keen to learn new legislation as required.
They must have a good understanding of children's development, their needs and the provision of positive play. An ability to provide a high quality integrated early education and childcare service which complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
They must be able to supervise staff and be involved in the recruitment, induction, training, counselling and disciplining of staff. An ability to work with parents and outside agencies to ensure the individual learning requirements of children with particular needs, disabilities or those who require additional support.
Show commitment to the theory and practice of equal opportunities. An awareness of health and safety issues relating to the provision of daycare. An ability to work on own initiative and an ability to supervise other staff members. An ability to communicate effectively with parents and build a relationship of trust with them. An ability to check reports and documents as appropriate. A willingness to work as part of and contribute positively to the staff team and events held at the nursery.
Ideally, be COVID-19 Vaccinated to keep children and colleagues safe in the nursery.
Training will be given to the person who is willing to learn.
