Job Summary:
We are seeking a
highly organised and proactive Deputy Practice Manager
with a
minimum of two years' experience in practice management
in a GP setting to support the day-to-day operations of our busy practices. This role involves managing reception and administrative staff, supporting the clinical team, overseeing staff rotas, and ensuring the smooth running of practice processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in staff management, patient relations, IT projects, and practice administration, working closely with the Practice Manager and Partners.
Key Requirements
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a similar administrative, supervisory, or practice-based role
Strong IT skills
, including confident use of clinical systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tools
Basic knowledge of HR processes
, including staff support, rotas, onboarding, and record-keeping
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
Supporting daily operational management of the practice
Assisting with staff coordination, rotas, and HR administration
Overseeing administrative processes and service delivery
Supporting IT systems, data quality, and digital workflows
Contributing to service improvement and practice development
Salary:
32,000 - 38,000 depending on experience
