The Deputy Principal - Investigations will lead and develop a team of investigators and support staff to deliver high performance and ensure investigations are conducted fairly, thoroughly and independently in accordance with the Office standards and guidance. This role also involves the post holder leading serious and complex investigations. This will require contact with a wide range of people such as bereaved families, police officers and local communities. As part of the 24 hour on-call rota, the post holder will need to be prepared to respond to serious incidents at any time and make decisions in respect of deployment of resources. Simultaneously, they will be central to the organisation during a time of ongoing transformation making a significant contribution to the Office's strategic direction.
The post-holder must have at least 2 years' experience of conducting criminal investigations, experience of leading a team/or managing/developing staff members and writing complex and detailed investigation reports.
