About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Deputy Service Delivery Manager to join our Information Services team at the University of Portsmouth. This is a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality IT services across the University, ensuring our students and staff benefit from reliable, innovative, and user-focused digital solutions.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will lead operational teams, manage service performance, and contribute to strategic initiatives including our Digital Transformation Plan. You'll play a key role in shaping service excellence through ITIL-aligned processes and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day IT service delivery operations across the University.
Support and deputise for the Service Delivery Manager in strategic planning and service development.
Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management in line with ITIL best practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance service quality.
Monitor service performance metrics and drive improvements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of digital transformation projects.
Champion a culture of customer service excellence and innovation.
About You
You will be a confident leader with a strong background in IT service management and a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences. You'll bring:
Proven experience in IT service delivery, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement.
