We are advertising for an experienced Deputy Service Manager to support the Reception and Non-Elective MDT teams.
This is a varied and demanding role based at Royal Papworth Hospital (Cambridge). Remote working will also be offered upon completion of training.
The postholder will be required to provide direct line management to the Admin Team Leaders who support a large team of Receptionists and MDT coordinators. They will also be required to build strong relationships with Operational and Clinical colleagues.
We are looking for someone who has experience in leading teams, can deliver on targets and who can implement change. These are large and busy teams, we are looking for someone who thrives on multi-tasking, is eager to learn new services and use their knowledge to support and develop teams.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties include:
*To provide leadership and support to all team members, leading by example.
*Understanding of RTT
*Monitor workload of your team and provide cover for times of annual leave/sickness
*Produce reports and manage data as required by the Service Manager
Abilities should include:
*Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
*Ability to have difficult conversations
*To prioritise workload and adjust to conflicting demands and knowing when to escalate

  • Previous experience of using complex medical terminology
  • Experience in line management
