We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires a compassionate individual who is skilled in managing care plans, Rota and supervising staff within a senior care environment, including residential homes and supported living facilities.
Duties
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans for residents, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Supervise and manage staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of care.
Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive mental health, Autism, learning disabilities care and support for residents with varying needs.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents, promoting their dignity and independence.
Conduct regular assessments of resident wellbeing and adjust care plans as necessary.
Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care and medication management.
Engage with families to communicate updates on resident progress and address any concerns.
Experience
Previous experience in a senior care setting, such as supported living, home care or residential, is essential.
Proven ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Familiarity with care plans and the specific needs of residents requiring personal care and medication.
A background in health and social care or relevant healthcare qualifications will be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
