Location: Burnham on Sea

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, over 3 days to include every other weekend and some bank holidays

Salary:24,395 per annum when full time, pro rata for part time (12.51 per hour)

We have an opportunity for a Deputy Store Manager to assist in running one of our Burnham stores.

The store holds a range of products including clothing, toys and some Bric a Brac, this is a great opportunity for anyone that has a passion for preloved items.

As deputy manager you will support the manager and at times be the only manager in the store working alongside volunteers. Your role includes:

Maintaining great standards to give our customers and donors an excellent shopping service

Help to manage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including promoting volunteer recruitment opportunities

Maintaining good relations with the general public, the wider retail and logistics teams as well as colleagues across the whole Hospice

Completing any required paperwork as needed

Creating strong merchandising displays within the store

This a great opportunity for someone who enjoys retail and working in a lively, fast

paced environment. You will need to have enthusiasm, leadership and motivational

skills, be customer orientated and target focussed, and enjoy working with a diverse

range of products and people. You will be required to complete paperwork and therefore a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is useful. It would be desirable to have experience in the day to day operation of a shop, including stock management, merchandising, health and safety and financial procedures.

As you will be required to supervise volunteers under the age of 18 years, we ask our shop staff to have an Enhanced DBS certificate (which we will arrange).
