The opportunity



Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this is a luxury retail Deputy Manager role. We have an opportunity for the right candidate to play a major supporting role in building on the success and growth of our Hull store.

As Deputy Manager you will support the Store Manager to deliver outstanding customer experiences resulting in sales that generate market leading financial growth. Part of this role will also include the planning and execution of in store customer events along with external networking, generating new customer opportunities.

Managing the sales floor, you will support the sales team to deliver our customers wants, needs and desires professionally presenting jewellery and watches. The ability to build a connection and rapport with all customers visiting the store and surpass their expectations is an essential requirement. A natural and successful sales person, you will lead by example. Strong leadership skills including motivation, coaching, effective listening and feedback are a must, coupled with a highly driven attitude to succeed. Whilst previous watch and jewellery experience is highly desirable, exceptional candidates from other luxury retail and hospitality backgrounds will be considered.

Essential experience and skills



Strong leadership skills. Experience in using KPI's to motivate the team and improve results. A highly driven work ethic and desire to succeed. A genuine care for customers, and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Highly organised. Proven personal sales ability and results to lead by example. Natural rapport building skills. Excellent communication skills in person, on the telephone, email and through IT channels including social media. Immaculate personal presentation. Target driven. The ability to analyse data to seek out opportunities for growth. A high level of responsibility and accountability. Delegation and follow up. A high level of resilience. Flexibility in working hours including weekends and some evenings.

Desirable skills and experience



Previous jewellery and watch sales experience or luxury product or service sales experience in a different sector. Professional jewellery qualifications. Event management and hosting. Networking and lead generation. Sales Coaching. Sales management experience. People management experience.
