Deputy Year Leader - Trinity Academy Grammar

-------------------------------------------------

Job description
Trinity Academy Grammar is an ambitious and inclusive 11-16 school that, for the first time in the school's history, is over-subscribed with over 1,000 students on roll; having grown this number from 650 when we first started since becoming part of the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust.

Since then, Trinity Academy Grammar has had a plethora of successes. In February 2023 Ofsted graded the academy as good with outstanding features in leadership and personal development.

This followed being awarded the World Class School mark in 2021.

These transformational changes mean that it is an exciting time to join the academy, we are incredibly proud of our successes, and we are looking for the best people to work alongside our already committed team to continue our journey.

The school is committed to providing an outstanding education for its students and is guided by the core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, which permeate every aspect of school life.

We now advertise this exciting opportunity for a Deputy Year Leader to provide high quality pastoral support to students across the academy, ensuring that all students feel safe, known, valued and understood.

If you feel you have the necessary skills, experience, and commitment to join our outstanding pastoral team, we encourage you to apply for this position and look forward to meeting you.

What can we offer you?

An opportunity to help shape the transformation of Trinity Academy Grammar. Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team. Career progression and cross-trust working. A range of staff benefits, including an Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work scheme, electric car scheme, reduced-cost health cover and access to the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.

What are we looking for?

5 or more GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths (or equivalent). Experience of successfully working with young people (of a relevant age) and securing positive outcomes. Experience of working in an educational environment.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

Apply now. For further information on this role, the benefits of working for the trust and how to apply, visit our recruitment website; www.trinitymat.org/all-vacancies.

Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer and want our staff profile to reflect the community we serve.

Start Date: To be discussed at interview

Closing Date: 9.00am; Wednesday 16 July 2025
