What We're Looking for in a Deputy Manager & Room Leader:

Relevant Qualifications

: A recognized Early Years qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) is essential.

Leadership Skills:

You've already gained experience in a similar role and are ready to take on more responsibility in a deputy management position while also leading your room.

Passion for Early Years Education:

You are dedicated to fostering children's development and creating a nurturing, playful, and positive learning environment.

Great Communication:

You're a confident communicator who can inspire, lead, and support your team while building strong relationships with children and parents.

Organized & Flexible:

You're adaptable to the fast-paced nature of the nursery environment, capable of managing your time effectively while supporting both your team and children.

Caring & Supportive Nature:

You bring patience and kindness, helping to create a safe, loving, and inclusive space for everyone--both children and staff.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead & Inspire:

Plan and lead fun, educational activities that promote the development of each child in your room, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Team Leadership:

As a Deputy Manager, you'll support the nursery manager in overseeing operations, while also guiding and mentoring your team to ensure high-quality care and learning for all children.

Build Strong Relationships:

Foster strong and positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members to create a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Track Progress:

Maintain accurate records of children's development, conducting observations and assessments that reflect their learning journey.

Create a Safe & Inviting Space:

Ensure your room is safe, clean, and welcoming, making the most of resources to create an engaging environment for the children.

Model Exceptional Leadership:

As both a Deputy Manager and Room Leader, you'll lead by example, motivating and guiding your team to deliver their best while maintaining a happy, positive atmosphere in the nursery.
