Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with one of the top investment banks in the world, looking to make an addition in their London branch with the aim to build out their commodity trading desk across Metals and Agriculture.
We are looking for a mid-level trader with existing relationships across the market with both derivatives and physical knowledge/exposure.
Responsibilities:

• Trade Metals (non-ferrous or ferrous)/Agricultural (grains, coffee, cocoa, sugar, pulses, or dairy) products on an exchange
• Use quant methods to notice trends and changes to set yourself up for market making and trade execution
• Make tactical trading decisions based off of market analysis
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers across products to increase overall productivity
• Work with managers on new areas of development to expand market coverage across metals/agri

Experience:

• Looking for individual with 4/5 years' experience within the industry
• Must already be in a trading position at a trading house or investment bank covering derivatives metal/ags
• Have existing contacts in the market and be able to transfer business
• Possess excellent understanding of derivatives (futures/options) as well as have good understanding of the physical market
• Able to commute to London
• As a person must be motivated and ambitious looking to excel their trading career and stand out from the crowd
