DE&S Deca is a specialist part of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) tasked with supporting a vast range of Defence avionics, electronics and components to provide high-quality, cost-effective support to the UK Armed Forces. This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you've been recruited for. Job description
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in infrastructure management of the estate? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to provide expert infrastructure advice and guidance. If you thrive in a role that combines leadership, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, this opportunity is for you!
You will provide tailored advice and guidance across the business, ensuring key messages are communicated effectively and events are planned seamlessly. As well as coordinating and implementing policies and processes that are fully compliant with all applicable legislation, policies, and regulations. This includes acting as the Responsible Person for legionella and asbestos, as well as serving as the Establishment Fire Focal Point.
You will also act as the lead for any facilities related audits and ensure all corrective actions from audits and non-conformances are implemented. You will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver a safe and compliant environment, including site staff, contractors, and external agencies, to manage real estate scenarios and drive improvements. You will also assist in the delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring estate improvements and changes are implemented effectively and align with approved plans. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant environment for our people, equipment, and estate.
Please note that there may be travel required to other DE&S Deca sites, and therefore we do require you to have a full UK driving licence.
Interviews will take place face-to-face at MOD Sealand and will commence in the week commencing Monday 24th July 2025 (please note this is subject to change).
We champion flexible ways of working. Regular in-person attendance is required (this is expected to be a minimum of 60% of your working week) to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance and business need. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.
What you'll be doing
Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation including policy, processes, instructions and guidance set at MOD and DE&S-level in order to deliver safe place, safe equipment and to protect our people.
Produce Infrastructure briefing packs and communications e.g., newsletters and executive support activities.
Work collaboratively to establish requirements for all delivery tasks.
DE&S lead for production, submission and approval of business cases.
Support the day-to-day maintenance requests and issues, proactively managing any problems and escalating where appropriate.
Assist in the recording of Infrastructure assets. Including the stock and disposals and assist in the production of policies for site administrative and operating procedures.
Understand and apply the principles of Asset Management.
Understand infrastructure statutory and regulatory compliance.
