Job Summary

The Design Coordinator supports the planning, development, and integration of design activities across our projects during the preconstruction and design development phases. Reporting to the Design Managers, this role is a conduit between the managers and any supply chain in the delivery of the required contract design documents and supporting deliverables. The Design Coordinators' role ensures that design information is accurate, provided on time, and aligned with project requirements. Acting as a key link between the parties involved, the Design Coordinator helps maintain design quality, compliance, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Accurately interpret and review drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify project requirements during the delivery of the design development and detailed design phases of the project delivery. Conduct site visits to assess project-specific constraints, access conditions, and logistical considerations that may impact the delivery of the project activities. Support the management of the supply chain and consultants in the delivery of the required Contract documents by way of trackers and programmes. Engage with client representatives to ensure the progress of required documentation is managed, recorded and delivered to standard. Early collaboration to anticipate construction challenges and manage these through the preconstruction & design stages. Support the commercial department in the management of the Contract, including monthly reporting and evaluation of any changes.

Skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in MS Office Software Strong organisational skills A keen eye for detail combined with strategic thinking to develop innovative visual solutions. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining high-quality standards.
