Aspirations Academies Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Design Department Technician to provide high quality technical and administrative support within the Design Department at Wykham Park Academy and Futures Institute.



This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in DT and Engineering and working in a classroom environment.



As Design DepartmentTechnician you will ensure and promote the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment for staff and students, contribute to the design, development and maintenance of specialist resources and/or long-term projects offering professional guidance, assistance and support to students and teachers on the practical aspects of the curriculum and support in lessons when required which includes checking, cleaning, maintenance, calibration, testing and repairing of equipment.



The successful candidate will have experience of working in a workshop with allied machinery (or similar environment) for at least 2 years and ideally have worked in a school previously.

Hours: 15 hours per week, term time only + 2 inset days, there is flexibility around how these hours are worked within 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.
