Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Design Engineer / Draughtsperson to join our technical team in Banbury. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and detailing structural steelwork for monorail systems, ensuring alignment with BS EN ISO standards and downstream project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing 2D and 3D technical drawings using Tekla Structures and related CAD software Creating general arrangements, structural layouts, safety features, and hardware drawings Supporting project management through documentation, risk assessments and installation preparation Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure accurate and cost-effective design delivery Attending handovers, site visits, and client meetings as required
We're seeking someone with:

ONC, NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Design Engineering (HND or higher desirable) Proven experience with CAD systems and detailing light to medium engineered products Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and abroad
