Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer / Draughtsperson to join our team, supporting our Water Wastewater Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing detailed engineering drawings and collaborating closely with our sister company to ensure design accuracy, efficiency, and project alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.

- Work closely with project engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and modify mechanical designs for water and wastewater systems.

- Liaise directly with our sister company to coordinate design requirements and ensure consistency across shared projects.

- Interpret project specifications, P&IDs, and technical requirements to generate detailed component and assembly drawings.

- Maintain drawing and document control standards in accordance with company and industry practices.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design processes and CAD data management.

What We're Looking For:

- Proficient in SolidWorks with demonstrable experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings.

- Background in mechanical or structural design within an industrial, utility, or water/wastewater environment is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.

- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.

- HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline -- or equivalent practical experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience (preferred).

- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,000.00-42,000.00 per year
