Reporting to the Principal Engineer- Electrical Integration you will be working closely with Lead and Senior engineers to undertake design, engineering and development tasks, ensuring the installation of safe and accurate electrical seat systems meet the regulatory requirements and equipment guidelines.
You will install and design electrical and mechanical systems incorporated within a range of aircraft seating programmes, including in-flight entertainment, airbags, grounding, emergency egress and mood lighting systems.
You will liaise directly with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to acquire/provide accurate electrical design information and support project priorities. Substantiating and evaluating designs through 3D analysis, engineering calculations and prototyping, you will ensure that product deliverables are on time and adhere to all customer aesthetic and technical ambitions as well as the relevant Airframe specifications.

esponsibilities

Familiarise and maintain knowledge of seat electrical compliance requirements, system suppliers installation guidelines and design office standards. Undertake design, engineering and development tasks utilising the Catia V5 CAD system. Ensure the design is carried out in accordance with the relevant Airframe electrical specification. Liaise with external customers to ensure design requirements are understood and achieved. Conduct presentations at critical reviews to the internal and external customers. Validate design through evaluation of prototypes where appropriate. Manage, track and report work to ensure adherence to programme deliverables on time and to the right quality.

Skills and experience

required

A mechanical, aerospace or electrical engineering degree (or equivalent) achieved at 2:1 or above Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative ideas Diligent, enthusiastic and driven, with an excellent work ethic and a can do attitude Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage conflicting demands Good personal time management and comfortable working to deadlines Highly adaptable and capable of making decisions in a fast and pressured environment Committed, flexible and able to multitask.

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the business's changing needs. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process, and we aim to reach agreement on the changes.
