Design Engineer
Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Design Engineering and be proficient in designing full turnkey solutions from a blank page. Expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
• Develop comprehensive turnkey solutions for complex engineering projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and data to produce accurate technical drawings
• Maintain and organise drawing files, ensuring proper version control and documentation
• Perform design calculations and analysis to support engineering decisions
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects
• Assist in the development of project timelines and cost estimates
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on potential improvements
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices in mechanical design

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
• Experience in designing full turnkey solutions from concept to completion
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Happy to travel internationally
