Join Electron-X as an Design Engineer (Mechanical)

At Electron-X, we specialise in high-quality industrial X-ray systems and services--from large lead-lined rooms for aircraft engines and advanced multi-axis manipulators to compact cabinets for inspecting electronic components.

We're expanding and looking for a skilled Design Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in Milton Keynes as soon as possible.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and drawing of parts and assemblies for x-ray enclosures and manipulators

Creating and updating bills of materials

Support and collaboration with the electrical designers

Supporting Project, Production and Installation Teams

What We're Looking For

A solid amount of practical experience of engineering design project work

An excellent level of competency using 3D CAD software packages & in particular SolidWorks

Good MS Office skills (Word & Excel) and excellent written and spoken English

A pride in delivering high quality results.

Nice to have:

Experience in the following:

o NDT & X-Ray or relatable industries

o Automation/software

o Electrical Engineering

Your own Solidworks license (premium or professional) and hardware

The Offer

Working from home is envisaged but being relatively local (to Milton Keynes) would be advantageous for face-to-face meetings, office days and customer & supplier visits.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

6-month contract with possible extension

Salary: 35,000-40,000 pro rata depending on experience
