The Role

With one of our current placement engineers returning to university, we have an exciting opportunity for a driven and curious student to join our CAD/Technical team at our Dungannon office. You'll be mentored by our experienced CAD Manager throughout your time and gain crucial hands-on experience in a mechanical setting to further your knowledge and skillset.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and assemble technical submittals for client and consultant approval. Assist with compiling contract handover documentation for successful project completion such as Operation & Maintenance Manuals Review vendor documentation to ensure mechanical compliance with project specifications. Work alongside multiple departments to solve real engineering challenges from design through delivery. Select HVAC equipment (A/C, ventilation, etc.) based on project specs, tender documents & estimating team budgets. Learn and applyindustry standards like EN1366, DW144, DW145, and EN378. Creating and setting up new projects onDalux, including drawing management & site commissioning document management. Support onsite engineers by providing drawings/schematics and ensuring installation checklist completion. Working with HVAC calculations, 3D modelling, and technical drawings. Liaising with contract managers to obtain as-installed mark-ups for record drawings & site sign off sheets. Producing equipment schedules (e.g., fire dampers, grilles, and other HVAC components). Providing general assistance to the Technical and CAD team with drawing updates and coordination tasks.

The Person

Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate degree (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar). A proactive problem-solver who's eager to learn and take on new challenges. Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage your time effectively. A confident communicator - both in writing and in person - who works well in a team & independently. Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about contributing to a fast-paced engineering environment.
