MainPurpose of Role:
WoodsAir Movement have an exciting new opportunity to recruit a Productionengineer/DFM engineer reporting to the MOG Lead Engineer. This role is part ofa key pillar of the business in a dedicated and motivated team to deliver intostrategic defence contracts. The Production engineer/DFM engineer will play akey role in supporting the business growth and development of engineeringsolutions, supporting the strategic plan of the business by optimizingproduction processes, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvementacross manufacturing operations.
TheEngineer will be accountable for ensuring the designs meet the customerrequirements and maturing the design changes. This individual will collaboratewith cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain productionsystems while focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Thecandidate should show the skills required to support the project deliverablesand drive the quality culture towards engineering excellence.
Theideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a team player, a confident self-starterwith drive to deliver change. They will need excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
DesiredExperience sought.
Minimum 4 years experience in an HVACengineering environment.
Demonstratable experience in working ondevelopment and delivery projects.
Excellent Stakeholder management at all levels
Knowledge of software and programmingadvantageous.
MainDuties & Responsibilities:
1. Production Planningand Optimisation
o Develop and improve manufacturing processes toincrease productivity and reduce waste.
o Analyse workflow and identify opportunitiesfor process automation or simplification.
2.
Process and Equipment Management
o Manage and maintain production equipment toensure optimal functionality and minimise downtime.
o Assist in the procurement and commissioning ofnew equipment or technology.
3.
Continuous Improvement
o Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, such asSix Sigma or Kaizen, to enhance operational efficiency.
o Implement process controls and qualityassurance measures.
o Problem solving skills
4.
Quality Assurance
o Collaborate with the Quality team to ensurecompliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
o Investigate and resolve production issues toprevent reoccurrence.
o Lead 8D methodology
5.
Data Analysis and Reporting
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) forproduction efficiency, cost, and quality.
o Prepare reports and presentations for seniormanagement.
o Produce technical documentation in accordancewith the New Product Introduction Process Design FMEA, Product Risk Analysis,Technical Product Specifications etc.

Health and Safety Compliance
o Enforce adherence to workplace safetystandards and procedures.
o Conduct risk assessments and implementpreventive measures.

Team Collaboration and Training
o Work closely with design, maintenance, andoperations teams to ensure seamless integration of production activities.
o Provide technical training to production staffand support skill development.

PersonSpecification/Profile:
HNC/Degree in an Engineering Discipline,relevant QA Qualification or equivalent
Knowledge and awareness of engineeringprocedures
Knowledge of engineering tools (i.e.solidworks)
Good problem solving skills
Strong communication, negotiation anddiplomacy skills
Be able to produce accurate documentation
High level analytical abilities
