Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Design Manager to oversee and manage fire-related defects on a prominent development in the centre of Durham. This role will focus on resolving design and construction issues associated with fire safety, including doors, cladding, and other critical building components. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations, liaise with the architect, contractors, and stakeholders, and deliver practical, timely solutions to outstanding defects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design management process for fire-related defects on site. Assess, prioritise, and develop solutions for defects related to doors, cladding, and other fire safety-critical elements. Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with fire safety standards and building regulations. Review and approve design modifications and technical solutions to address identified defects. Maintain detailed records of defects, actions taken, and outcomes to support project reporting and regulatory compliance. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and stakeholders throughout the process of resolving defects.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 250.00-290.00 per day
