Working under the general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, the
Job Captain & Building Regulations Principal Designer provides design support primarily in project administration, design development, and contract documents.
Job Responsibilities
Reviewing CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical and building systems, codes, and ADA requirements, inclusive of IA's QAQC policy.
Coordinating consultants' work to ensure timely submission of documents.
Coordinating all engineering work to ensure compliance with the design solution.
Managing contract documents and contract administration within established budgets.
Coordinates with Senior technical staff and design staff to provide technical solutions for design dilemmas
Be the appointed Building Regulation Principal Designer designate for hotel projects within the UK.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Hotel interior architecture and/or design industry, including a working knowledge of equipment and materials, space requirements, and design standards and principles
Advanced Revit skills and AutoCAD/ADT.
Extensive contract administration knowledge, including completion of contract documents.
Vast knowledge of building systems, UK Building Regulations, Part M and DDA requirements.
Sound documentation and field observation skills
