We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing Enabling Works Contractor delivering demolition, groundworks, remediation, and complex site-prep packages. They're looking for a sharp, solutions-driven
Design Manager
to own the design process from tender through delivery.The Role
Lead and coordinate all design activities. Drive buildability, value engineering, and technical compliance. Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and site teams. Manage design risks, CDM, and temporary works input. If you've come up through an engineering/project management route, that would be a distinct advantage
What You'll Bring
Civil Engineering degree (preferred). Design management experience in civils, enabling works, demolition, or groundworks. Strong technical understanding and confident communication. Organised, proactive, and able to thrive in fast-moving projects.
They're looking to achieve 20m turnover next year (not bad for a contractor that's been established two years!) so this represents a fantastic opportunity to join at an early stage of their growth and development.
