Job Description

MWS Ltd is seeking a capable

Design & Projects Engineer

to deliver bespoke mechanical solutions and support new product development.

You'll take ownership of design output, BOM accuracy, and engineering improvements to meet quality, cost, and lead-time targets.

Key responsibilities

New product development Create, edit, and update engineering drawings (AutoCAD / 3D CAD) Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) Drive cost reduction initiatives (materials, components, labour) Materials order processing Site surveys and conversion of findings into engineering drawings Manage multiple projects concurrently

Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D CAD modelling, and drawing standards Strong problem-solving and practical engineering judgement Clear communication and collaboration skills Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost-effective design

Experience

3+ years Mechanical Design & Project Engineer experience (weighing/industrial/manufacturing preferred) 5+ years engineering and design experience (including design office coordination)
