Subject Leader of Design & Technology

You will lead a committed team, develop an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum, and play a pivotal role in raising standards and fostering a culture where students can excel academically and creatively.
About the Role
As Subject Leader of Design & Technology, you will:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the D&T department.
Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3-4.
Drive curriculum development to ensure engaging, innovative and inclusive learning.
Support the achievement of all learner groups, including pupil premium, SEND and high-attaining students.
Lead, motivate and inspire colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
Champion opportunities beyond the classroom that enrich the student experience.
Contribute to ongoing school improvement as a capable and reflective practitioner.
Demonstrate sustained, high-quality impact in line with Upper Pay Scale expectations (where applicable).
About You
You will be:
A qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification.
Skilled in delivering Design & Technology across relevant key stages.
Able to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learner groups.
An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with staff, students and families.
A forward-thinker who embraces innovation and change.
Committed to extending learning beyond the classroom and enriching the curriculum.
Knowledgeable, reflective, and confident in all aspects of the Teachers' Standards.
