Job Description

The Bridge Education Centre is looking to appoint a full time, experienced and highly skilled Design Technology Teacher who would be able to deliver BTEC level 2 Construction or similar. You would join our extremely talented Academic team and work in collaboration with our Therapeutic, Intervention and Active teams to create individualised and targeted programmes to support, engage, inspire and challenge young people who present with a spectrum of needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Outstanding classroom practice. Teacher with QTS (candidates without QTS but relevant experience may be considered) The highest expectations of all pupils. Have a good understanding of a range of SEN Be able to teach additional core subjects (e.g. Science) Be a reflective practitioner who is dedicated to continuous improvement Be passionate about their subject and able to inspire and motivate young people Be calm and assertive in managing behaviour Have the highest expectations of themselves and the behaviour and achievement of students Will demonstrate the ability to prepare students for BTEC Level 2 in Construction assessments and ideally CSCS applications.
This role would suite individuals who have experience in a secondary setting or similar, however for the right candidate we can explore whether previous FE experience is suitable. We are looking for talented, creative individuals who are outstanding practitioners in their fields.
