Design & Technology Technician



8.30am-4.30pm Wednesday-Friday



22.5 Hours per Week



Grade 5 (SCP 7-11)



Term time + 6 days (FTE 10 days)



Actual salary: 13,695 - 14,597 (25,584- 27,269 FTE)



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful Design & Technology department.



You will:



Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.

Provide timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/ curriculum/ lesson plans etc.

Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.

Monitor and manage stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.

Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.

Report to the teacher or line manager on pupil progress and achievements.

You will be/have:



Experience of working with young adults aged 11-16.

5 GCSE's at grades A*-C including Maths and English.

A good standard of education, especially in numeracy and literacy (or willingness to work towards).

Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and pupils.

The ability to relate well to children and adults.

The ability to work as a member of the team.
